Dat Washington

Well, it’s been three months since we’ve moved to Washington. For the first two it was nothing but rain every single day, but now that it’s getting to be summer, it’s clearing up. It was unfortunate that the weather chose today to be bad, so we didn’t get to see the eclipse. Sad day, especially since it happens very very rarely.

At first we had been confined to a single bedroom apartment with four people, but now we’ve moved on to a really nice two bedroom apartment. The only thing that is less than agreeable is the noisy upstairs neighbors.

Both James and myself have been looking for work, but so far the only form of income we’ve come to receive is through commissioned artwork.

Since I lack things to say, have a few pics.

This is from a small park in Sumner, WA. Unfortunately, it was an overcast day, so you can't really see Mt. Rainier- the volcano that isn't too far from us.

Oreo sitting pretty on a stone and tile chair in the park.

James and Oreo. I couldn't get Oreo to look at me, and every time I used my stern voice to get his attention, he acted like he was in trouble. So, I just went with it and snapped a pic.

Me and James in a little grotto area in Downtown Sumner area.

A memorial fountain thing that has several dates on it. Earliest we could find was in the 1850's.

A view of the back yard to our current apartment.
